The FRANCE-KOREA YEAR, from September 2015 to July 2016

The Korean president, Ms. Park Geun-Hye and French President Francois Hollande confirmed the wish to set up a Korea-France Year to celebrate 130 years of diplomatic relationships. It will be held in France from September 2015 to August 2016 and Korea from March to December in 2016.

France is now the 10th largest foreign investor in Korea, where almost 200 French companies employ more than 20,000 people. The France-Korea Year will provide an opportunity to boost investment and encourage exchanges focusing on joint economic, scientific and academic projects.

Numerous cultural events during the course of this year will reflect the dynamic relationship between France and Korea in all areas. The events will focus on youth (contemporary music, comic strips, video, fashion, sport) and new art forms (digital arts, Twitterature).

Boasting a will and political commitment at the highest levels, the France-Korea year will provide national visibility and international exposure to many French operators, local authorities, public and private partners that allow its implementation work.

FIAC 2015 (with Kukje Gallery / Tina Kim Gallery at Grand Palais), Cernuschi Museum, Art Paris Art Fair 2016, etc. will show korean art in Paris.
